Warringa Herefords sold four of its five 18 month old Poll Hereford Bulls in the 2nd Annual Gippsland Performance Herefords Online Bull Sale which was held on 7 September 2022.
They topped at $10500 and averaged $9875.
Warringa Supersonic S204 (AI) (PP) a homozygous polled son of Yavenvale Powerhouse P499 (PP) topped the Warringa bulls selling for $10500 to Angus & Jenny Maclean. Nariel. Vic.
Warringa Stealth S207 (AI) (PP) and Warringa Shiraz S209 (AI) (PP) homozygous polled sons of outstanding American sire NJW 79Z Z311 ENDURE 173D (IMP USA) both sold for $10000 each to Stephen Robinson, Moorville Poll Herefords, Moorooduc. Vic and Mat Marshall, Orbost. Vic, respectively.
Warringa Sonic S211 (AI) (PP) also a homozygous polled son of outstanding American sire NJW 79Z Z311 ENDURE 173D (IMP USA) sold for $9000 to David St John, Amboyn Poll Herefords. Deddick. Vic. Based on the Herefords Australia July BREEDPLAN EBV’s the five Warringa Bulls average in the top 5% of the breed for 400 Day Weight, the top 10% of the breed for 200 & 600 Day Weight, Carcase Weight and Eye Muscle Area and all four Breed Index Values and top 15% of the breed for Milk and Intra Muscular Fat (Marbling).
All five bulls had been genomically tested, sire and mating verified and free of all known adverse genetic conditions. They also met the stringent Gippsland Performance Herefords Sale Selection Criteria, including Physical Assessment, Semen/Fertility Test and BREEDPLAN EBV performance requirements.
They were all tested free for Pestivirus, inoculated with 7 in 1, Pestiguard and Vibrovax.
